Job Description: Industrial Business Management Assistant (Industriekaufmann/Industriekauffrau)
Industrial business management assistants plan, process and monitor tasks in a variety of commercial fields. It is our goal to qualify our future industrial business management assistants for any tasks in a commercial environment.
Training Content
The training content includes professional customer care and consulting, mainly foreign language correspondence with business partners using modern communication and media technology, business management aspects, logistics and marketing knowledge, the analysis of market potentials as well as demand assessment when purchasing products and services.
Duration of Training
The training period is usually 3 years, but it may be shortened to 2 years. However, a shorter training period must be requested in advance and approved by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. All requests for a shortened training period will be decided upon on a case-by-case basis.
Training Prerequisites
We require applicants for industrial business management assistant training to have a German university of applied sciences entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife) or a German university entrance qualification (Abitur) or equivalent. Due to growing international trade in goods, extensive knowledge of foreign languages is becoming increasingly important as an entry qualification. In addition, candidates should be service-oriented and have intercultural competence.

Job Description: Management Assistant in Wholesale and Foreign Trade (Kaufmann/Kauffrau im Groß- und Außenhandel)
Management assistants in wholesale and foreign trade organize the exchange of goods in export and import transactions. They observe the national and international procurement markets, determine supply sources and the respective demand. It is our goal to qualify our future management assistants in wholesale and foreign trade for any tasks in a commercial environment.
The training content includes customer care and consulting, handling customs matters, scheduling of timely goods deliveries, overview of manufacturers and the market, mainly foreign language correspondence with suppliers (especially manufacturers) and customers using modern communication and media technology, as well as logistics and marketing knowledge.
