Besides a broad product range on standard display modules, Data Modul is offering semi - und fullcustom display solutions. The tooling costs start at about 1.000 Euro and can reach 20.000 Euro for very complex display modules. Meanwhile Data Modul is offering also fullcustom CSTN (color passive) and OLED displays, on which the toolings are of course much higher.
Customers can choose out of a broad range of LC technologies, beginning from TN, HTN, STN, FSTN and more. Special filter technologies will upgrade the display performance a lot.
The main module designs are COG (Chip on Glass) -, TAB (Tab automated bonded) -, COB (Chip on board) - and as well SMT (Small mounted Technology) including zebra connector and pcb module solutions. Especially COG module solutions will be quite often realized for customized designs, due to the very compact design and the wide LCD controller product range.
Customized solutions you'll find more or less in each market segment, such as white goods, industrial, consumer, vehicles, and others. The individual solution plays the key role for the customer and cost reduction during manufacturing process can be also realized for tailor made solutions.
