Enhanced HMI

In addition to the classic input by touching the display with one or more fingers or special input pens, modern HMI systems can nowadays be operated in a wide variety of ways. We offer numerous alternative input methods such as haptics & force, knob-on-display, gesture control, face recognition or voice control, always adapted to the respective customer requirements and environmental or operating conditions.

Touch haptic & force feedack

Haptic & Force Feedback

As an extension of capacitive touch technology, we offer haptic and force touch. When touching, the user receives tangible, tactile haptic feedback for the touch event on the display. With force touch, users can trigger different types of input by pressing with varying degrees of force.

The combination of both technologies offers further advantages:

  • Verification of touch events (intended or unintended input)
  • Application also for visually impaired or visually distracted users
  • New graphical user interface (GUI) function
Touch gesture controle

Gesture control

We offer two different technologies for 3D gesture control - depending on the desired diagonal size and the customer's requirement profile. Our camera-based solution, in which gestures are registered and evaluated with the help of a camera, can be used largely independent of size. For smaller and medium diagonals, on the other hand, gesture recognition by means of an electric or capacitive field is more suitable. With both methods, customers benefit not only from an innovative interface of their HMI, but also from the touch-free (and at the same time hygienic) operation of their display.

Knob-on display

Knob-on display

Optionally, our touch displays can also be equipped with a button or knob, which can complement the input method with further options. The button/knob is attached to the display and the touch sensor registers the input made.

Face recognition

Facial recognition

If desired, we can additionally equip our system solutions with a camera and corresponding software for facial recognition. The image registered by the camera is compared with information in a database, which can then trigger predefined events, such as authorisations for access to certain areas.

Voice control

Voice control

Another alternative input method is operation by means of on- or offline voice control, which we can implement in a system. Voice input via a microphone can either initiate predefined actions or interact completely freely with the system.
