Innovative chip-on-board LED solution at G2E 2025

The COB LED modules presented at G2E are based on a modular 2x8 27" LED cabinet with a pixel pitch of 1.25 mm and use full flip-chip-based COB LED technology. Variants with pixel pitches from 0.4 mm to 1.87 mm are also available – ideal for high-resolution applications up to 8K. Ultra Black Technology ensures exceptional contrast and black representation. With a static contrast ratio of ≥30,000:1 and a dynamic contrast ratio of ≥300,000:1, the solution achieves visual brilliance and rich black tones. The precision of the display modules impresses with flat surfaces with a tolerance of ≤0.05 mm, outstanding colour consistency (ΔE ≤0.5) and virtually seamless joints (≤0.15 mm).

The COB LED solution features an energy-efficient design that enables lower power consumption compared to similar products, while maintaining consistent brightness levels. The surface temperature remains comparatively low during operation. With a brightness of up to 1500 nits and a brightness uniformity of 97%, the display remains clearly readable even in high ambient light conditions. These characteristics support a balanced ratio between performance and energy efficiency. In addition, the product meets the highest requirements for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). DATA MODUL offers product solutions with EMC Class A and Class B options to meet the different customers’ needs.

With the COB LED solution, we focus on quality, durability and technological innovation: the LED service life of these modules is up to 100,000 hours and the robust workmanship of the entire unit, including optimised chip bonding with high soldering strength, optional power and signal redundancy design, for stable 24x7 operations.
